Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Currier Media Inc. collects when you use Vidmo, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Canadian privacy law. Section 7 is worth reading closely: generation requests are processed outside Canada, including in China.

1.Who is responsible for your information

Vidmo is operated by Currier Media Inc., a British Columbia company at 2535 Lomond Way 2145, Garibaldi Highlands, British Columbia, Canada. We are the organization responsible for the personal information described here.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, section 12 applies. Where you are in a US state with a privacy statute, section 13 applies.

Questions, requests, or complaints go to our Privacy Officer at privacy@vidmo.ai.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your full payment card details. Card data goes directly to Stripe. We do not buy personal information from data brokers, and we do not use tracking pixels for advertising.

3.How we use your information

  • To provide the Service — running generations, storing your library, and metering credits.
  • To take payment, apply your plan, and issue refunds.
  • To secure the Service — detecting fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • To support you when you contact us.
  • To improve the Service by understanding which features are used and where errors occur.
  • To send service messages you cannot opt out of while you hold an account, such as billing notices and security alerts.
  • To send optional product updates, which you may opt out of at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not train on your content

We do not use your prompts, uploads, or generated media to train any model, ours or anyone else's. We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5.Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers below, only to the extent they need it, and under contracts requiring them to protect it.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6.Referral tracking

If you arrive through an affiliate link, we store a first-party cookie (`partner_ref`, 90 days) containing the identifier of the partner who referred you and which network they belong to. When you create an account, that identifier is copied to your account record so the partner can be credited if you later subscribe. It is shared only with the one network that referred you.

The partner receives only that we converted, the amount, and their own identifier. They do not receive your name, email address, prompts, or generated media. You can clear the cookie in your browser at any time before signing up.

7.Cross-border transfers

Your information is processed outside Canada. Our infrastructure is in the United States, and generation requests — meaning your prompts and any reference images — are sent to providers that process them in China.

While information is in another country it is subject to that country's laws, and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under legal processes that differ from Canada's. We use contractual protections where available, but we cannot exclude lawful access by foreign authorities.

Do not submit prompts or images containing confidential, sensitive, or personal information about others that you would not want processed under those conditions. By using the Service you consent to this transfer.

8.How long we keep it

InformationRetention
Prompts and generated mediaUntil you delete them, or until your account is deleted
Account recordFor as long as your account is open
Credit ledger and transaction records7 years after the transaction, as required for Canadian tax and accounting
Security and access logsUp to 12 months
Support correspondenceUp to 24 months after the matter is closed

Deleting a generation removes it from our database and from our storage. Deleting your account removes your profile, prompts, and media, except records we must retain by law, which are isolated and not used for any other purpose.

9.Security

  • All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, and data is encrypted at rest by our providers.
  • Passwords are hashed; we never store them in a readable form.
  • Database access is restricted by row-level security so one account cannot read another's data.
  • Credit balances, plans, and billing fields are writable only by our servers, never by a browser.
  • Administrative credentials are held server-side and never exposed to client code.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

10.Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and be told how it has been used and disclosed;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Withdraw consent and have your account deleted;
  • Ask questions about this policy or how we handle your information.

Email privacy@vidmo.ai. We respond within 30 days and will tell you if we need an extension. There is no charge for a reasonable request. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

If you are unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).

11.Cookies and email preferences

We use a small number of first-party cookies only. There is no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on this service.

CookiePurposeLifetime

`partner_ref`Credits the partner who referred you90 days

Marketing email is sent only with consent and complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing message has an unsubscribe link that works within 10 business days. Service messages about billing, security, and your generations are not marketing and continue while you hold an account.

12.Notice to users in Europe and the UK

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you additionally have the right to erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these, email privacy@vidmo.ai.

Currier Media is the controller. Transfers out of the EEA rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for Canada for commercial organizations, and on standard contractual clauses for onward transfers to our providers. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

13.Notice to users in the United States

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comparable statutes may request access to, correction of, deletion of, and a portable copy of their personal information, and may appeal a refusal.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, including with respect to anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted without a right to limit. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

Submit a request to privacy@vidmo.ai. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.

14.Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact privacy@vidmo.ai and we will delete it.

Users between 13 and the age of majority in their jurisdiction should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

15.Changes and contact

We may update this policy. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated policy.
